Recycling and Composting

Meadow Lake Recycling Program

As of October 22, 2012, a new Waste Collection Bylaw is in effect. Please view the changes in the new bylaw. One important change to be noted is cardboard shall not to be placed in commercial waste containers.

Effective January 1, 2013, the Recycling Program will be in place for all residential users, as indicated in the new Waste Collection Bylaw. The fee will be included in the quarterly utility billing. Residences will have received their BLUE RECYCLING CART by the last week in December. Each cart will have an information pamphlet attached explaining what items can be placed in the bin, as well as each lid of the cart shows allowed items. Please read this pamphlet carefully and PLEASE DO NOT place regular garbage in your blue recycling cart.

The CALENDAR below illustrates which weeks are regular garbage pickup and which weeks are recycle pickup; BLUE week, BLUE cart. For more detailed information on the Recycling Program, please open the RECYCLING PROGRAM PAMPHLET.
