Meadow lake is one of the most beautiful, peaceful places to live in Saskatchewan. The exact population of the city is a matter of debate; it has experienced considerable growth in the past decade which according to some sources has pushed the population past the 5,000 mark.
Meadow Lake is the main business centre in northwest Saskatchewan and serves the many towns and villages as a regional shopping centre. It is the second-largest community in Saskatchewan's Census Division No. 17
